Dr. Smith says the valve procedures (2 replaced, 1 repaired) went very well. The more difficult part was stopping the bleeding – even though Conk went off blood thinners 5 days ago, her blood was still thin. But all’s well and we should be able to visit her in the ICU in about an hour.
Good news at the end of a long day!

Oh PHEW! What fan-TAS-tic news, both in terms of the surgery itself & that they were able quell the bleeding! Thank you both for surviving the long haul day you’ve had, enough to send us the happy happy news. Give her a pat on the knee (shouldn’t be too disruptive!) & tell how proud we all are of her for her bravery & resilience. She’s gonna be breathing easy again very soon! Yaaaaaaaay! Love to you all!
