Delays for surgery are not unusual especially if you’re not the first case @ 7am. Surgeons can guesstimate how long a surgery will take, but it may be longer or shorter based on what they find when they get into the procedure.
I had surgery in the past few days, and my surgeon told me of 2 different scenarios in which she may need to call in another surgeon with expertise to assist. Had that happened, the rest of the OR schedule for that room would have been delayed.
Nerve wracking for those waiting. Prayers continue ❤️❤️❤️❤️
